Muscular Dystrophy UK is a leading UK charity focused
on muscular dystrophy. They are dedicated to finding treatments and
cures and improving the lives of adults and children affected by
the condition. As well as providing funding for world class
research they also provide practical information, advice and
support, campaigning to bring about change and raise
awareness.
Duchenne Research Breakthrough Fund
Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a neuromuscular condition caused by the lack of a protein called dystrophin. It is a serious condition that causes progressive muscle weakness. About 100 boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy are born in the United Kingdom each year.

We are really grateful to Year 4 at St. Polycarp's who organised a play at school on the above date. Instead of charging for tickets the school decided to ask for donations for Help4Harry, amazing support from one of our local schools. They raised a brilliant £149.71 Thank you so much

Kingsclere Rugby Match
We had over 40 players involved, all paying £10 each, the dutch
auction made an amazing £250 and supporters gave generously making
total on the day £844. They applied for
match funding from Vodafone, which will add £700, so total raised
for Muscular Dystrophy UK will be £1,544

Help4Harry Retro Disco - William Cobbett Primary School Hall
We held a Retro Disco classic retro dance routines organised by Suzanne O'Callaghan from BDF Academy to get even the most reluctant dancer up on their feet. We had 85 people attend and raised a brilliant £613.20 - thank you so much Suzanne, William Cobbett Primary School and Andy Williams for being a fab DJ for the night and putting up with a room full of women!!!

Harry's Auntie Becci took part in The Thames Towpath Challenge in September, Becci managed an incredible 27.5K before an injury meant she could walk no more, I'm pleased to report Becci is on the mend :)

Help4Harry Kilimanjaro Trek
Harry's Godfarther Mike Prosser organised a team to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in July 2015. He partnered with Action Challenge, the leading tour experts for Kilimanjaro. It was a 7 day climb and we are thrilled to report all 8 of the team made it. This was such an awesome challenge - thank you to all the Help4Harry Killy trekkers you are all FABUOUS. They have raised in excess of £30,000 and still counting

Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100
Ian Jones took part in this awesome event, known as cycling's equivalent to the London Marathon, this unique 100-mile closed road event covers much of the Olympic road race and promises to be the biggest and best cycling sportive in the country. He had 2 punctures along the way but this didn't dampen his spirits - thanks Ian you are a star!! Ian raised a magical £775.00

Elvetham Heath Farmers Market Cake Sale

Chester Half Marathon

Due to the success of last year's fundraising evening we decided to do it again and smashed it!! 200 people packed out Farnham Rugby Club, we had a live band, curry in a box and a fabulous auction & raffle. This year we raised a staggering £12K - Thank you so much for everyones generosity.

Orange Mufti Day
Our friend Emma Dear came up with the brilliant idea of having a Orange Mufti Day at her son William's school which is Potters Gate, Emma then decided to roll this out to as many schools in Farnham as we can. We had 11 schools in total, Weybourne Infant School, Greenways Nursery, Elm Tree Pre School, All Saints C of E Infant School, Folly Hill Infant School, Potters Gate C of E Primary School, St Polycarp's Catholic Primary School, St Andrews C of E Infant School, Farnham Heath End School, Hale Primary School. Farnham Leisure Centre also went orange. The children went to school dressed with something orange and made a £1 donation or more. We are delighted to say they raised an incredible £2,604.00

ShuffleTunes Carol Singing

Hedgehogs Sponsored Swim
Isaac, Lizzy and Catherine Purkiss took part in the farnham hedgehogs sponsored swim at Farnham leisure centre. The swim is organised by the Hedgehogs. All 3 children, including Catherine, who is 6, swam 20 lengths, this was the maximum amount allowed. They have raised over £100 between them. We are so grateful as they decided to swim this for Help4Harry. Thanks you so much the Purkiss gang xx

Thames Path Challenge
Harry's mad Godmother Emily, along with our friends Isobel and Nadine have took on this epic Tow path challenge. Isobel took on the 50K whilst Emily and Nadine continued on through the night to complete a 100km from Putney Bridge to Henley in 24hrs! Together they have raised over £5,900.

The Nuts Challenge Mud Run

Thank you! Over 180 people joined us at Farnham Rugby club for our 1st Charity Auction night. With the auction, raffle and additional donations from those who couldn't make it on the night, the evening raised just over £10,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign. Thank you!!!
